Seollal (Lunar New Year’s Day)

The Lunar New Year’s Day or Seollal is coming ! It is the first day of the Korean lunar calendar (same as Chinese lunar calendar) and the most celebrated traditional holiday in Korea (More important than January 1st.). For 2016, Seollal Holiday is during February 7 - 9 (Feb. 10 is the substitute holiday as Feb. 7 is Sunday.). 

During this event, people perform ancestral rites, pay respects to their elders, and exchange well-wishing remarks. The ceremony serving as a memorial to ancestors is called Charye and is commonly practiced in a Sadang (traditional shrine) on Seollal. 

People also enjoy a Bowl of Tteokguk (a Korean traditional soup made with sliced rice cakes) ... a symbol of gaining one year of age at the start of the new year, Folk Games such as Yut Nori (a traditional board game), Neolttwigi (a traditional outdoor game), and perform Sebae (a traditional ceremony to bow to elders).

สุขสันต์วันตรุษเกาหลี 2016 ~~~

วันซอลลัล (วันขึ้นปีใหม่ทางจันทรคติ)

วันขึ้นปีใหม่ทางจันทรคติของเกาหลี หรือที่เรียกว่า "วันซอลลัล" ใกล้จะมาถึงแล้วนะคะ ซึ่งวันนี้เป็นวันแรกของปีปฏิทินทางจันทรคติ (คล้ายกับวันตรุษจีน) จะมีการเฉลิมฉลองกันอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ในเกาหลีเลยทีเดียว (สำคัญกว่าวันขึ้นปีใหม่สากล คือ วันที่ 1 มกราคม) สำหรับในปี 2016 นี้ วันหยุดของเทศกาลซอลลัล คือ วันที่ 7 - 9 กุมภาพันธ์ ค่ะ (แต่เนื่องจากวันที่ 7 ตรงกับวันอาทิตย์ จึงทำให้วันที่ 10 กุมภาพันธ์ เป็นวันหยุดชดเชย) 

ระหว่างเทศกาลนี้ ชาวเกาหลีจะไปทำพิธีกราบไหว้บรรพบุรุษ ไปเคารพญาติผู้ใหญ่ และอวยพรซึ่งกันและกัน พิธีรำลึกถึงบรรพบุรุษ เรียกว่า "Charye" (เชเย) โดยมักจะประกอบพิธีกันที่ "Sadang" หรือศาลเจ้าในวันซอลลัล

ในวันซอลลัลนั้น ชาวเกาหลีนิยมรับประทานอาหารประจำเทศกาล นั่นคือ "Tteokguk" (ซุปพื้นเมืองของเกาหลีที่ทำจากเค้กข้าวฝานเป็นแผ่น ๆ) ซึ่งอาหารชนิดนี้เป็นสัญญลักษณ์ของการเป็นผู้ใหญ่ขึ้นอีก 1 ปี ในวันขึ้นปีใหม่ และมีพิธี Sebae (พิธีคำนับผู้สูงอายุ) นอกจากนี้ยังมีพวกการเล่นพื้นเมืองต่าง ๆ เช่น Yut Nori (เกมหมากกระดานพื้นเมือง) Neolttwigi (เกมการเล่นพื้นเมืองกลางแจ้ง) ที่มักจะเล่นกันในวันนี้อีกด้วย

ONEMOUNT is quite a new one which located in Goyang-si. There are many types of sliders on the rooftop. You can see many terrific scenery around Ilsan Lake Park. The best one is Sky Boomerango, a 20-meter-high ride with tubes for two people to shoot down then back up again, then finally plunging into a water pool at the end.

Caribbean Bay is located next to famous & largest Korea Theme Park, Eveland at Yongin-si. The "Heart of Hallyu"

Most of people who love "Korea" or know about Korea start from "Hallyu" !! It's Korean Cultural Wave. Gyeonggi-do is the "Heart of Hallyu", both Korea Drama, Actors / Actresses and K-Pop.

If we talk about "Dae Jang Geum" (Jewel in the Palace), we are sure that a lot of people from Thailand, Japan, China, Middle East and Southeast Asian Nations know about this popular K-Drama / Series. This one was as shot at Hwaseong Fortress (in Suwon City) and Korean Folk Village (in Yongin City).

Gyeonggi-do is the "Heart of Hallyu". 

There are a lot of locations of the dramas, series, TV Show, music VDO etc. that were shoot around this province, e.g. restaurants, cafe, markets, shopping malls, attractions, parks, etc. More over, a very big & famous studio which was operated by the major broadcasting stations in Korea, Yongin MBC Dramia, is bustling with a lot of foreign tourists since it was the location of many period K-Dramas. And Goyang City is the house of some major broadcasting stations in Korea too.
